Northern had an excellent victory over Cardiff North with Russell Palmer and Steve Hood playing the starring roles. Site’s had a few updates including the profile pages.
After 2 consecutive games rained off Northern were back on the astroturf pitch at Llandaff against the only team in the division with 2 wins out of 2, Cardiff North. Charles Brain once more demonstrated an inability to toss and North chose to bat.

A new season has begun. Northern got promoted in 3rd after teams above them folded and given the previous season in the 2nd division ended in one win all year it’s going to be tough and needs players to make every effort to attend. So far we’ve had a bye, two games rained off and one game played which ended in a Tie.
First match played of the season and it will go down as a case of what if. Playing on the the astroturfed Llandaff 2 it is always hard to defend any score but when put into bat that’s exactly what Northern were going to have to attempt to do.

Two games played and two games rained off in the last month. The two games played were comfortable wins highlighted by the excellent batting of Jimmy and Steve who scored 143 for the loss of one wicket between them across the 2 games.N Northern are well placed in the league ahead of the game against 4th placed Clwb.
