The stats following the first game have been updated and Ashish leads the fantasy cricket with the top four all closely packed. Ashish leads the batting charts, Gaz the bowling and Dave and Jim have a catch apiece. The duck table looks like normal as both ducks this season were in the top three last season.

Tonight’s game has been called off by the Divisional Rep. Roll on Thursday.
Rather than chasing Ashley and myself all the time for updates on the games you can ring (not text) the league rainline on 07904196813. If games are off the answer machine message will tell you so.
If you haven’t heard from Ash or myself and the line hasn’t been updated then the games are ON. At least until the Divisional Rep says otherwise.
Please note that Suburbian have dropped out meaning that those games should be removed from your fixture lists and we’ll have a bye that week. That’s two of our games that weren’t at Blackweir gone anyway!
Suburbian have left the league and will be replaced in Division 3 by BT Corinthians, the team that won it last year and have now not been promoted. The fixtures stay as was but the opposition have changed.
All the 2011 Fixtures, friendlies and extra cup matches apart, have been published on the web site. You’ll notice the vast majority of our games this year are at Blackweir. You’ll also notice that due to some restructuring of the league we once more find ourselves in Division 3 which is a shame as we finished as close to the the team in second as we did the team second bottom in terms of points. However this is a good opportunity to play well and win a few games this season.
Ashley sent the following out today.
“Hiya Gents, apologises for not getting in contact sooner! I have been having problems booking nets through various locations! I propose having a friendly knock about down llandaff fields on 4th May Wednesday amongst ourselves before the season starts and also to see what sort of squad we have before the start of the season as our first game is the 9th May! Please respond as to whether you will be able to attend, many thanks Ash start time 6.30 pm”
It is important that you confirm whether you’re playing and your details for the season so make sure you’ve contacted Ashley or Dave before the end of the month.
I’ll update the site properly over the next few days but our first fixtures are Monday 9th May, Thursday 12th, Tuesday 17th (cup) and Thursday 19th. The fixtures can be found here http://cmcl.org.uk/fixturelist3.doc.
Registrations need to be in by April 30th so please confirm you are signing to Ashley or myself by then – if you like email just make sure we get it and we need your address, mobile number and email if you’ve got one.
This season Cardiff Northern will wear shirts sponsored by Q3 Solutions. Pictures of the shirts will be provided shortly. All players will be required to pay a nominal £10 contribution to the cost of their own shirt.
